Office of the Chief Division

The Office of the Chief Division provides the overall direction of the department. The Police Chief oversees public information and outreach, finance and administration (e.g., strategic planning, budgeting, policy, payroll, accreditation, purchasing, grant management, and liquor licenses), the Chaplain program, and labor relations.

The Deputy Chief reports directly to the Chief of Police, and assists the Chief in planning, budgeting, staff supervision, and public relations on specific projects. The Deputy Chief is responsible for the direct supervision of the Division Captains and performs the duties of Police Chief during the Police Chief’s absence or when requested.
