If you saw a flash near one of the photo enforcement systems, it could have been a test shot or for another vehicle that was detected by the system. Routine test shots are taken several times a day to ensure that the system is operating properly and there are several checks and balances in place to ensure that a citation is only issued if a violation occurred. If a citation is issued it will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle at the address listed on the citation within 6 business days for photo radar van and 10 business days for red light and intersection speed violations. Due to high call volume, calls regarding flashes will not be returned.
