Crime Reporting Groups

For the purposes of publishing and reporting, the Oregon Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program usually groups crimes in one of two different ways: Part I and Part II offenses. This is a national standard and the standard of most other states. It is the basis of FBI national publications and those of other states. This standard is over 50 years old and is based on the scope and limitations of the National UCR Program. The offenses in their respective groupings are shown below.
